Privacy
How we treat your visit.
Mindful is a small, read-only website of essays. We do not run Google Analytics, advertising trackers, or similar analytics products. We are not in the business of profiling readers.
What you share by simply browsing
When you open a page, technical information travels the way it always does on the web: your browser asks servers for files, and those servers see data such as your IP address, the page or file requested, and rough timing. That is normal internet plumbing, not something unique to Mindful.
Who helps us deliver the site
We rely on a few services so the site loads quickly and stays online:
- Bunny.net hosts and delivers the site (static hosting and CDN). When you request a page or file, Bunny.net edge servers may log standard technical data — IP address, browser, page or file requested, and timing — as part of normal CDN operation. Their own policies describe what they collect and why.
- Placeholder images on some essays come from Picsum (and its CDN). Your browser loads those images directly from their infrastructure, which means Picsum or its providers may see technical data tied to that request, the same way any external image host would.
Fonts
We bundle our web fonts with the site (via Fontsource packages built into our CSS). We do not load fonts from Google Fonts or another remote font service in the page head, so visiting Mindful does not send a separate font request to Google for typography.
Offline support (service worker)
Mindful registers a small service worker so pages and same-origin assets can be cached on your device for speed and a simple offline fallback. That cache stays on your device; it is not a copy we read on our servers.
Cookies and similar storage
We do not use cookies for marketing or analytics. Any storage tied to the service worker is for technical caching as described above, not for cross-site tracking.
Children
Mindful is written for adults reflecting on wellbeing. It is not aimed at collecting data from children. If you are a parent or guardian with a concern, please use contact options we publish elsewhere when available.
Updates
If our stack or practices change in a way that matters for privacy, we will update this page and note the spirit of the change here. This is a transparency page, not a contract; for rules about using the site, see Terms of use.
