Mindful is a small collection of short reads on mental wellbeing. Each essay is meant to be finished in the span of a slow cup of tea — a few minutes of breathing room in the middle of an ordinary day.

We write about the things that quietly shape us: the way we sleep, the way we worry, the ways we show up for the people we love. We aim for warmth over cleverness, and calm over urgency.

Mindful is not therapy. It is not medical advice. It is not a replacement for support from a qualified professional. If something you read here moves you toward seeking help, we are glad. That is the best thing an essay can do.
